# 3.4. Blockchain Modification Risk

The user represents and warrants that the user is familiar with and accepts the risks associated with blockchain development and code changes. Blockchain technology is still under development and may change significantly over time. Blockchain contributors may change the functionality and specifications of the user-selected algorithm and may fork the Airship Blockchain protocol. Such changes may include or result in the elimination or support of specific algorithms and applications.
